While we were in Idaho for Grandma Smith's birthday we stopped by the open house for the Twin Falls Temple. It was so beautiful. The kids were all really good while we were going through the temple (I even spotted Roscoe walking reverently with his arms folded if you can imagine that).

Roy Day's Parade
Michaela has been going to a summer singing camp this year, thanks to her Papa and Cheryl. Their first performance was on Saturday. They rode on a float in the Roy Day's Parade they were float number 86 (second to last), it was so hot!! Even with the heat we had fun watching the parade. Just don't get Mike started on how parades are so commercial now! After the parade they performed at North Park. They sang four songs; Baseball Fever, The Duel, Seize the Day (from Newsies), and You Can't Stop the Beat (from Hairspray). She did such a great job, and thank you to everyone who came to hear her sing.

Lagoon
On Saturday we went to Lagoon and meet up with some old friends, the Schrubs. It was so hot! It was forcasted to be 102 degrees in Salt Lake City, but with the black top and all the rides I am sure it was hotter at the park. We ended up only staying for a couple of hours and left after lunch.

#4 Birthday Boy
Roscoe had a great birthday last week. All the family that lives near by came to have cake and ice cream. He loved all his presents and was so excited every time he opened one. He loved opening the cards and would shout "MONEY!!" every time there was some in there. My mom and Zack were both thinking alike when they bought Roscoe's presents, they ended up giving him the exact same gift, and he loves and plays with both of them.

Eyebrows!
A couple of weeks ago Michaela thought that she would try something new, she wanted to shape her eyebrows, like her mom. The only difference is that I don't shape mine with the Bic razor. I think the picture is self explanatory!

Big Boy!
Roscoe (or should I say mommy) has been working very hard trying to remember to go potty on the toilet like a big boy. He not only has a potty chart that he gets to put stickers on when he goes potty, but he is working towards getting his super prize (an Optimus Prime Transformer). We also had a deal that if he could go all day without having any accidents he could call grandma on the phone. So Sunday night he got to call grandma! He wore his big boy underwear all day long (even at church) and didn't have one accident! We are all very proud, and he is looking forward to getting his super prize in the next day or two.

SLC
We also got icecream cones and let the kids run through the fountain in the plaza. Hopefully we didn't scare Matt and Jen too much by showing them what it is like taking your kids places!
That night we went to a BBQ by Anne's (Cheryl's daughter) church, she had a huge slip 'n slide out for the kids and they had a great time.

The Fourth of July
On the drive home from the museum we stopped by IKEA for lunch and to look around. It was pretty crazy with the eight kids, but it was still fun.
That night we went to Papa's house for a BBQ and fireworks! It really was an eventful day that went out with a bang!

Birthday Suprise!
The weekend before my birthday Mike took me out for my birthday. We went to the Lonestar for lunch and then went shopping at the mall. Jenelle was nice enough to watch the kids for us. While we were out Mike told me that he had planned to suprise me for my birthday but couldn't remember what he was going to do. Then he asked what we were going to do on Monday, and that is when he remembered that he had taken Monday off work to suprise me. Needless to say we had a lot of fun! We went down to Mike's new classroom and looked around, then after Michaela's singing camp we all got ready and went to Lagoon at the Beach (as Roscoe says). Thank you everyone for the calls and cards for my birthday, I felt really loved.

Father's Day Suprise
The kids wanted to get Mike something for Father's Day, so while he was taking a nap on Saturday Michaela left him a not saying,
"Us kids kidnapped Mom and went to the store, be back later."
While at the store we picked up stuff to make Mike a Father's Day breakfast, and also some water guns. We filled up the water guns before we left the store and I called Mike and asked him if he would come out to the van when we got home because I needed help with the groceries. Well, when he opened the door, boy was he suprised, he had 5 water guns shooting water at him.
